Tez - round one

Heats were hotly contested in night ones racing with various drivers parking on the winners board .
Heat one saw Patrick Merrett win over Jack Bell with Chris Bellman being put back two spots to finish third.
The Green machine of Terry Rankin took out heat two from Brad Stell and Ash McDonough.
Heat Three had Leigh Van Ginneken pilot home over Ash Sinclair and the Aussie Champ Dylan Willsher.
Matty Symons had bragging rights over Terry Rankin and Brooke Buckingham in heat four.
Heat Five saw Victorian Champ and last year’s runner up James Aranyosi stand up and take a bow with Andrew Rae, Brad Stell crossing the line 2nd and 3rd.
The last heat of the night saw the second South Aussie park her up with a victory for Angelo Karoussis followed by Queenslander Glenn Underwood and fellow South Aussie Patrick Merrett.
C main saw the top six led by V35 Jesse Elston transfer to the B. With another 6 contenders tacking on to the back of the A headed up by the V49 of Josh Buckingham from the B main to make up the final field of the nights main event.

The V79 Serpentine Roadhouse/ Charlton Truck Stop lead tonight’s feature race from start to finish with little to no challenge from his fellow competitors. After a few weeks of bad luck the Green Machine chose night one of Speedweek to come out with a vengeance. And will now be the man to watch going into round two at Mid Western Speedway Darlington.
SA64’s Patrick Merrett continued his great run for the season backing up a 2nd in the Jack Willsher with another solid runner up performance in round one of the series.
If you wanted some excitement in a race where the leader was in a league of his own you didn’t need to look far, as the V95 of Dale Sinclair was a hard charger starting out of p12 and secure third with some impressive passing.
Matty Symons the Home town man as usual performed well at his favoured track and will be one to keep an eye on throughout the series.
A collision mid way through the feature saw the V31 of Chris Bellman junk her and finish his night up on the infield after running for most of the race towards the front of the field as a gutted Aussie champ in Dylan Willsher was deemed the cause and sent to the rear.
